Y R. Suresh obtained his Bachelor Degree (B.E.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Mysore obtaining First Class with Distinction, Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Hydraulics securing First Rank and Gold Medal from the University of Mysore, and Master of Engineering (M.E.) in Structural Engineering securing First Class from the University of Bangalore. He is a GATE scholar and has worked as a Research Scholar in IISc, Bengaluru. He has taught more than 20 subjects at UG level and 6 subjects at PG level. He has guided more than 30 projects at the UG level and more than 12 projects at the PG level under various themes. He has 6 publications in international journals and 3 papers in international conferences to his credit. He has also worked as BOE member in VTU and some autonomous institutions and as an Invited speaker.
